PRODUCTS > Redundancy
The WinEPS Redundancy Service is designed to keep an ongoing backup of your primary WinEPS directory during transaction processing. As transactions are processed, the transaction information is typically maintained by WinEPS for later reconciliation. With Redundancy service, an up-to-the-moment copy of that important information is sent to a backup server as well.
The backup server will have a complete record of all WinEPS transactions, as well as configuration information. In fact, in the event of a primary server crash, the WinEPS on the backup server can be started to take over the store, with all information intact!
Requirements:
| • | Two servers that meet the WinEPS system requirements, with an installation of WinEPS on each |
| • | An installation of the Redundancy Service on each server |
| • | TCP/IP connection to network – Both servers must be available to the lanes and each other |
