MTXEPS ADDS BIOPAY’S BIOMETRIC PAYMENT TECHNOLOGY INTO ITS WinEPS ELECTRONIC PAYMENT SOFTWARE

HERNDON, Va. – February 9, 2005 – Biometric payments leader BioPay, LLC and MTXEPS, Inc., a California-based company, today announced that BioPay’s market-leading biometric payment technology is being integrated into WinEPS, MTXEPS’ feature-rich electronic payment software. BioPay’s biometric technology will enable MTXEPS to add the convenience and security of biometric payments and verification to MTXEPS’ WinEPS payment solution. The newly integrated solution will be demonstrated at FMI’s MARKETECHNICS® trade show in Washington, DC on February 13, 2005.

Beginning this month, MTXEPS customers can easily upgrade their electronic payment systems to include BioPay’s secure biometric technology. And, because of WinEPS software design, retailers can add support for BioPay without upgrading their point-of-sale system. Retailers simply need to upgrade to the latest version of WinEPS, and any point-of-sale system that supports OpenEPS will now have BioPay included.
