Hy-Vee Selects WinEPS

West Des Moines, Iowa based Hy-Vee, Inc. has selected MTXEPS, Inc. electronic payment software for use in its upcoming point of sale rollout. MTX is the industry leader in Electronic Payments Point of Sale Payment Software. MTX was selected for several reasons. First, was MTX’s ability to work with the Retalix StoreLine Software, ACI Hosting Software, and signature capture devices. Also of primary concern was MTX’s ability to work with the Retalix Fuel product and the flexibility and ease of configuration built into the WinEPS software.

According to Don Miller, Assistant Vice President Equipment, “Hy-Vee’s decision to make this investment was to improve customer service with Signature Capture, and improved overall Point of Sale service to their customers. The overall effect will be a faster, more efficient front end and reduced operating expenses.” Testing and Lab systems will begin this summer with the rollout beginning in the fall. The rollout is scheduled for completion by the end of 2004.

MTX is a privately held company which was spun off from Hypercom earlier this year. They currently market their products direct and through their reseller channel. The WinEPS software product has been in the market place for over 10 years and now is a feature-rich, mature product with over 4,000 installations.
