Today, you likely allow internet access through other machines within your company network. These connections to the internet are typically secured by a firewall that only allow certain sites to be accessed as a trusted DNS, and secure for any incoming attacks. The same would be true for the point of sale’s access into ServerEPS as well. Using ServerEPS, there are never any inbound connections from ServerEPS to the lanes so no inbound connections need to be allowed. All connections are made outbound from the lanes
