The first thing to verify is whether or not our OpenEPS software at the lane has started. This can be quickly checked but looking at the \Program Files\Microtrax\OpenEPS directory and verifying the amount of files there. When a POS system “calls” our .DLL at the lane, our software will begin generating a journal (JRNL) file and create a few standard files from scratch. If your system does not have these files and instead only has the initial MTX_EPS.DLL, MTX_SE.DLL, setup.txt and/or MTX_POS.DLL, there is a good chance that something is not set up correctly on the POS side so that that software is starting or using our MTXEPS OpenEPS code at the lane.
