FAQ > Support > When a card is slid at the pin pad, the card type is not being recognized correctly and the pin pad is still prompting for the card type.

If a system has been set up for the “Auto Tender Resolution” feature (utilizing the ‘/’ TAC in the payment sequence of the configuration) you need to make sure that there are no overlapping card prefixes in the prefix tables of WinEPS or ServerEPS. Also verify that cards that you do not want included in auto tender resolution have the flag set for “Exclude from Auto Tender” set in the Allowable Card Prefix Table.
