Virtual Terminal is a software application that can be used to process transaction information using WinEPS or ServerEPS, similar to a POS system. This application is primarily used to perform transactions that the POS installed in a store cannot. Such transactions may include the following:

• Credit Voucher

• EBT Balance Inquiry

• EBT Voucher

• EBT Foodstamp Voucher

• EBT Foodstamp Return

• Gift Card Balance Inquiry

• Gift Card Activation

• Gift Card De-Activation

• Gift Card Recharge

• Phone Card Activation

• Phone Card De-Activation

VT (Virtual Terminal) is not limited to the transaction types listed above, and can run any transaction that WinEPS or ServerEPS supports. Additionally, Virtual Terminal supports all hardware terminals that WinEPS or ServerEPS supports. Terminals can be attached to a PC COM port via an RS232 cable.

VT can be installed on any PC that matches the WinEPS system requirements, and has a network connection to the WinEPS or SeverEPS systems. VT does not need to be installed directly on the WinEPS server, making it ideal for a store’s Service Desk.
